Should they stay or should they go ?

by Alison Creamer- Bzibee

Why are people so rude ?

So we have a great website that is brining all kinds traffic for people to look at homes. Last night we get a new buyer who listed they have an agent. Our standard reply is GREAT but our site is for clients/ prospects that intend to work with us. We encouraged him to contact his agent ( that he said he had) for property information.

The reply we got was insane. He was livid that we were going to take him off

He said
Are you serious? You advertised online and what you are saying is that unless I use you I will not be permitted to view this site, What happens if i am a buyer that may want to buy one of your listings. I have retained a copy of this email and have the addresses fir these sellers. I bet these sellers do not care if I use you or not. I am sure that part of your advertising sales pitch for the listing includes this kind of advertising without the sellers knowing that your advertisements are discretionary to only people that work with you.

I have several Realtor in my life both family and friends….. and though many of the laws have changed i too held a license at one time. I did forward this to several of them and theay( spelled wrong by them) all laughed and could not believe the way it was written, BTW you might want to work on your grammar and spelling as well. Trust me Im not a complete idiot and I do know what a customer is vs a client, I know what a buyer brokerage agreement is. Oh, I i…..

This is where we cut him off. This person feels that we should have an open book and offer free services to everyone. What we said to him was he would not be able to use the site as a signed client. The internet is FULL of places to view homes. Also if they need to see homes they need to contact that agent they said they had. Our CODE OF ETHICS tell us we cannot work with or have substantial conversation with someone who tells us they have an agent !

We also found his Facebook and myspace profile and wouldn’t you know it in the bio he states he likes to piss people off.

SO what do you think ? Are we right or wrong buy allowing potential clients who are not in a relationship with an agent to use the site with full rights. Anyone can search the site they just cant create a log in and profile.

Are you going to Google Plus ?

by Alison Creamer- Bzibee

Are you ready to go to the next level with Google Plus ! ?

Basically, Google+ is an amalgamation of several services we already use. The idea, according to Google, is to do them better.

Companies clamoring to build a presence on Google’s new social network have a few more months to wait. Business profiles are coming to Google Plus around the third quarter of this year, according to a story on VentureBeat.
While Google hasn’t revealed many details about what the brand profiles will include, a Google representative told VentureBeat that users should expect “a level of analytics and measurement that you’d typically find in Google products,” hinting at the inclusion of analytics in business accounts.

Will it effect SEO ?
Google Plus has been live for barely two weeks, but inevitably, online marketers and search engine optimization experts are curious about how the new social product might influence organic search rankings in the future.
Officially, there’s no official indication of how Plus will affect SEO, but plenty of speculation and some obvious hints about where things may be headed.

If your a business should you jump on Board ?
The Google Plus team is still plugging away at the creation of brand pages for companies, and the service is still being rolled out to consumers, but that doesn’t mean businesses can’t start taking advantage of it.
Officially, you’re not supposed to set up a profile on Plus to represent a brand, even though a few companies have already done so. If you want to be daring and pull a Mashable, you can try, but we can’t promise smaller brands won’t get shut down for going against Google’s wishes.

Im a Keller Williams Agent ! Im on !!!!!!!
Jay Papasan, Vice President of Publishing at Keller Williams Realty and coauthor of Soci@l, said it well, “Unless your clients happen to be early-adopting, tech-savvy men between the age of 25 and 34, then you might want to wait to go ‘all in’ on Google+. The large majority of your clients may not be there yet. Just keep an eye on it while you invest your time and energy in more proven lead sources.”

Whats is holding you back ? Try it and see if you like it. I think it will take over facebook.

Define Social Media ?

by Alison Creamer- Bzibee

Is Social Media Shallow?
Here are some words some people have used to describe social media.

Stalking
Shallow
Self-absorbed
Tooting your own horn
Overwhelming
Stupid
Time waster
Passive

In reality it’s none of this. People are putting the information up there to share. THEY want you READ IT! I believe we are a sharing world and we all look for input from people who are wiser. I love to share my family and experiences with the world. I have found a commonality among people I did not expect. The next time you feel like your stalking someone remember they put it up they’re for you to see and comment on. Think about going on vacation would you go by your self or would you want to share the experience with someone.

The Social Network “movie”

by Alison Creamer- Bzibee

The Social Network movie started playing and I was wondering, who in Hampton Roads has seen it? I’m a huge Facebook fan so of course I want to see the movie. Facebook and tools like it are shaping the world today. I’m an early adoptee of this tools and feel like it’s just a natural progression for our world. I’m inspired by other people and their ability to take a dream to a reality. Social media and technology relationships are here to stay. If you have seen the movie please tell me, do I go to the movie theater or wait for it on Red Box?

Brian Copeland session

by Alison Creamer- Bzibee

I’m sitting in a class listening to Brian Copeland. He is a Nashville realtor and has embraced social media to the highest level. We are listening to him talk about social media and web designs. It’s amazing what he has been able to do pushing the envelope on the web. I’m so impressed with what he has accomplished and would love to have 1 hour to sit with him and really get to know how he works. I plan on reading and watching what he is doing. Thank you Brian for speaking at TheRealShow. If you are in Nashville you must check out this site. Www.Nashvilleandbeyond.com

Skechers Shape up and Real Estate

by Alison Creamer- Bzibee

Crazy title I know but it got me thinking. These shoes have a bump in them . You walk differently and use muscles in a way that will tone and tighten your backside. So what happens when you apply the same principal to your business. For me this would be a Real Estate. I was looking at an ad for Skechers Shape up tennis shoes and thought ,what would happen if I put a bump in my foundation ? What about creating an uncomfortable position to be in so I can break through it. I recently decided to get uncomfortable. I stepped down from my support team and decided to venture on my own. I have done this once before and was quite successful. I knew I was not that uncomfortable making this choice again. Now lets really push myself, what can I do? Im going to build a team. I want to see just how far I can put my Social Media and New technologies philosophy to work. Im thinking out of the box and Im looking to build on this with people who are energized excited and outgoing. Its not going to be easy but that is the point of this idea. I want to create a bump in my thoughts and business. How about you are you still stuck working the same muscles and not seeing anything new  ?
