Brittany is such a good kid. Well I guess thats adult now YIKES she recently turned 21. Crazy to think we will have a new baby and an almost 22 year old.

WOW delayed blog !
Hello readers,
It’s been so long since I blogged here so I must apologize. I wanted to share with you why. I’ve been a little busy making a human !!! Yes that would be I’m pregnant. This is my first and I’m almost 40. It’s kicking my tail. I’m about 14 weeks so I’m hoping to loose the yucky tummy and I will start to feel better soon. I”ll to return soon with more DIY, Hamptonroads news, real estate topics and general rambling.
A bit Chucky but the IVF meds packed on the pounds before baby came.

Meal planning
I love the Thrift store, Charity shop, Op- Shop or what ever you want to call them these days. I make a good living and could very well be at Barnes and Noble paying full price for the most current books just like many. I choose to stay classic and frugal. I love cookbooks, and I love a bargain. My weeks meal plan came from a cool Better Homes and Gardens Blender Cook Book I picked up. I plan on trying out some cool classic dishes this week.
Avocado Shrimp dip
Potato Cakes
Carrot cheddar bake
Bacon and onion bread
Tomato cheese muffins
Lemon bars
This recipe book was published in 1971. It was pretty cool to look at the selection of menus. I noticed a bit of a trend when it came to processed cheese. I passed on those.

Happy Birthday Brittany
Today this darling girl turns 21. I am not mom, mommy, momma, Im just Alison to her. Im not her biological parent or blood related to her. I married her father and when I did I fell in love with her as well. I never realized how fast time would pass and how I would miss the days when we would play with toys and read books together. Today I celebrate her as a young women, a beautiful soul with a tender heart. She keeps her self composed and reserved, she is quiet with stubborn soul. She is beautiful inside and out. I admire her uniqueness and her imagination. I admire her creativity and her passion. I admire her style and her stubbornness. She is a young women finding herself in this world with values and morals. I pray for her life and I cant wait to see what the next 20 years bring. She has been my child, my buddy and a pain in the ass, but I love her still.

So we get a picture of a plate of food Wednesday night. It was Britts attempt at her first meal in her new place on her own.I asked how it tasted and her reply was eatable. Poor dear she’ll learn quickly figuring out what to cook is the biggest battle !
