Well interesting my attempt to do a daily journal failed miserably !
Do you set your sights on and have a hard time sticking to it ? I know this time of year we all have great expectations. I seem to drop off the high from all the planning with in 1-2 weeks. I wonder does this happen to you ? When it comes to my Real Estate practice I must have a clearly defined written plan or it will happen there as well. Whats your plan and how will you stick to it ?

Snow globes and Real Estate
I’m sitting in a coffe shop this morning watching a flurry of snow swirling around Hampton Roads. It’s just such a beautiful site. A fresh blanket of snow makes everything look pure fresh and new. I’m a sales person so many time thoughts and senses always makes me think marketing. I let my mind wander about this winter season and how many home sellers hold of on listing the home thinking no one buys around the holidays On the contrary I have had great success in marketing homes during major holidays. Many sellers take great pride in ther home and decorations. If it snows then you sometimes are lucky to have your home look like a beautiful snow globe trinket. If your thinking of selling your home let’s talk. It’s a beautiful time of the year to sell a home.
Im loosing my mind !
Really its a bizzare real estate market. Just when you think your at your whits ends you get success. I have been struggling this November with so many crazy deals I thought I would loose my mind. I was so stressed out I broke a tooth. The dentist said I must have been grinding my teeth at night. Well with the end of November I was able to help 3 family’s get in to new homes. I guess even with all the usless worry it all worked out.
Burr.. It’s cold in Hampton Roads
So has the chill in the air made it into your house? Landlord won’t upgrade the heat or windows ? I can help you find a better home.

Activerain at Mega Camp
Im in Austin Tx this week for Keller Williams Mega Camp 2010. I came a day early with my OP and figured I’d make good use of the time. I strolled around the vendor booths and found ACTIVERAIN. Im not sure why but I was REALLY excited to see the booth. Activerain was my first experience with Real Estate blogging and social networking. I have met many new friends on the site and have found it to be huge resource for Realtors and Agents to gather great information. People in my area like Tina Merritt. Naoma Doriguzzi and Justin Williams were the first people I met through this blog/agent site. Activerain THANK you for existing !

To follow Spirit Airways model or not ?
Unbundled Real Estate transaction and process
Spirit Airways and the unbundling of common services, will this be good or bad? People do not want to pay for something they do not need or feel they will never use. After reading about how Spirit is unbundling all the services and allowing the client to A’LACART their experience I’m wondering is this good or bad? A few years ago in Real Estate there was a pitch to go one stop shop. It was the idea people were to busy to drive all over town or even call multiple services and set up accounts or spend hours negotiation needed services for buying or selling a home. I’m not quite sure but for me this “One Stop “ idea never seemed to catch on for me. Of course I did offer a one-stop brochure for my clients. The materials included business they would need during the transaction so at least they had a starting point if they choose to call around for prices.
Now back to Spirit Airways and unbundling…
What if I unbundled my services would it hurt or help? Would clients like an a’lacart of services for a discount or even a premium? What kind of breakdown would I do? I’m not sure if I could even do half a job for my client should they not choose a full service. It’s a thought and might be one I look at in the future.
