It was such a pleasure to work with the sweet family who relocated from Hawaii. The Hampton Roads market is heating up it was a little bit of a challenge to find a great home. There were a few on the target list but after doing market analysis for them they decided the investment wasn’t secure enough. This is a military family so a great location and the ability to resell was a key factor in the decision-making. We actually toured in the range of 35 to 45 homes before making a final decision. The process was tedious and we did lose a few that we put offers on. But ultimately we found the perfect home for them.
A waterfront lot, completely renovated with brand-new cabinetry, granite countertops and new flooring throughout, a formal front room a large dining room and eat in kitchen, a den with fireplace.
The only sacrifice we did have to make was price. This one was at the top of the comfort range. The seller paying all the closing cost and $7500 in grant funds to pay off debt this allowed them a little higher of a mortgage payment and ultimately the mortgage was right where they needed it to be.
